Friends Helping Friends Through Laughter

Hello and thank you for visiting Mental Flossing. 

Founded by Sid and Thomas Caplan in 2007, we are a community-based improvisational
Comedy for Charity troupe.  

Originally based in Harrisonburg, VA (now called No Strings Attached), Mental Flossing is exactly what we claim it to be - friends helping friends through laughter.  This can be expanded to say that we are also neighbors helping neighbors. 

Our goal is to invest in one another and that each of us can help our respective community in ways other than picking up a hammer or volunteering to drive or deliver clothing.  We understand that not everyone has time to volunteer, but they want to help in some way.  Too often these same people simply send a check into a charity and they become just a number or a name on a check -

We'd like to change that.  We want to know exactly who you are.  So, if you're going to send $10 or $50  to a worthwhile organization, why notget some laughs along the way?

We have listed here some of our references from the past, but feel free to browse the internet and Google and/or Yahoo "Mental Flossing" for our history and members.

We're sure you will be impressed with our mission and effort.
